Who We Are
Our team leverages a diversity of talent from technology, finance, and law across a spectrum of experiences from the smallest of start-ups to the biggest of institutions.
Before joining P19, Ryan founded blockchain and payments systems practice groups at major law firms including, most recently, Fenwick & West. In addition to his legal practice, Ryan served as an Adjunct Professor at Seattle University School of Law, where he co-developed the Digital Commerce and Financial Technology curriculum for Seattle University’s new LLM in Innovation and Technology Law, and authored Bloomberg-BNA’s Emerging Payments Portfolio.
After cutting his teeth in finance, Jonathan became an early innovator at the intersection of institutions and blockchain technology. He co-founded Sator Square Partners - one of the earliest cryptocurrency funds. Additionally, he has served as Director of Strategic Initiatives at BitGo and as Managing Director of Institutional Trading at Kraken. In a past life, he also held his FINRA Series 3, 7, 55, and 63 licenses.
Alex is an Advisor to P19 Labs and specializes in system design and software architecture. Having built many products and systems in the blockchain space, his industry experience is unmatched when assessing and designing complex technical structures. Alex’s high level perspective helps him to address challenging technical concerns and determine where initiatives fit into the ecosystem’s existing framework.
